My dad loves his computer. He got it this year to replace the ancient box PC he had on his desk. He has a Toshiba Satellite C660, and he brings it along everywhere. He insists that it has totally changed the way he does his job, since nowadays he can get stuff done on the bus, or even at the alehouse! Certainly a big change compared to the old days, when he was required to utilize a sizeable type-writer.
My friend Kev got a new computer. He picked it up cheap off of a website on the internet, and he’s pretty chuffed with that.
It is a Compaq presario CQ, and he uses it predominantly for his university assignments.
You are required to have a lap-top nowadays in order to do essays, since there aren’t enough in the library.
I’ve requested a more modern laptop for Xmas. The old one is a bit broken nowadays, and if you do not keep it attached to the socket constantly it is liable to go to sleep.
The laptop I hope for is the HP Pavilion g6, because this would be just the thing for my needs. It is a rather costly item to receive for Xmas, but I suspect my dad and grandfather will pool resources to pay for it.
The lap-top that my niece purchased is her fourth laptop in two years. She has consistently been reckless, and she tends to misplace things.
I remember the 1st occasion on which she had a smartphone, she dropped it down a drain. After that her laptop was simply left on a train, and has not been spotted since.
I pray she is more careful with her Toshiba Satellite Pro, however I have to concede I’m predicting that it will not be too much time until she does some thing stupid and needs to acquire a new one.
My cousin got his laptop from a shop in the high street, and I’m certain he could have acquired it for half the price on the net. It’s a good computer, nevertheless: a Sony Vaio VPC.
But he didn’t take the time to check out the price tags at different places before he purchased it, so that is the reason that he had to shell out so much cash.
