Regain Personality, Accessorize with a Medical Wig for Who You Are
Browsing wigs on the Internet could fall short of anything to dread. Listen to me, this classy gal making the best of the tough luck of alopecia. I hold pride because only my dear friends know I tactfully and naturally enhance my look with a couple well-done lace front wigs of my own. Something tells me you’ll find forgotten personality after experiencing the comfort and style quality human hair wigs. Believe me, quality wigs appear quite natural for thousands of ladies who depend on them.
Maybe a lot of you have shared similar worries looking in the mirror. “Will I look okay?” and “Will it match my hair texture?” were my panic-driven questions, most definitely. These fears can be troublesome if you take the time to relax to realize how many professional fitting options are out there. Alopecia wigs, styled from real hair, grant their wearers of all types with confidence. Its not anything to stress on! Never seen a well done wig? That’s because you never even know it apart from someone’s naturally growing hair.
Take a look at the essential wig shopping considerations you should benefit from. It’s no contest the most realisitc wigs are made from human hair. Wigs styled from human hair are roughly 300% more expensive than fake wigs–why? They can be so much more comfortable! I strongly recommend them. But if its just too much for the pocketbook, synthetic hair pieces can be a good option and worth of consideration.
Personally, I opt for real, human lace front wigs because several reasons. They last longer and I match my natural color with dye. Plus, my scalp can breathe.
Whichever you choose, conduct due diligence to choose a wig which compliments your look, so you’ll own the look you’ve earned in confidence. Feel better about your appearance, and even better, be comfortable wearing it. Just like in any fashion decision, your choice of wig contributes to your individuality.
All the best,

Is it Possible to Decipher the Lottery Code by Using Your Own Specific Strategy?
A Huge amount of individuals every week decide to use the same lottery numbers for their entries; quite often these are memorable dates of loved ones, which in a lot of lotto’s can only cover a part of any potential lottery selections.
Can you decrypt the code implementing your own specific strategy or rely on a lottery syndicate to select them for you? We unrealistically like to believe that if we don’t do something or do it the wrong way that something bad might happen, in this event; if we miss doing our numbers that week they are sure to come up!
Being the one to decide on those winning lottery numbers is by nature something each and every dedicated player wishes they could do and as human beings, we possess an innate bias against anything that’s random, we like some form of control and patterns that make sense to us.
So your lotto number comes up more frequently; that does not mean to say it will come up again! It’s virtually impossible to choose any set of numbers that are likely to win. All lotteries are a game of pure chance and each lotto number picked is simply at is hit-or-miss. So the upshot in that respect is - no number is more random than another.
If you look at the chances of probability, as one lotto number is picked the likelihood of your selected number being picked afterwards is slightly increased because the possible choice is lessened.
Applying the same numbers will mean you will have to play 135,000 times to even get an evens chance of winning. Unluckily, to win the lottery jackpot you will just have close to a 1 in 14 million prospect of being profitable; however we all believe it could be us. Does that sound like a good prospect; would you be better off joining a lotto syndicate?
If you decide on the same lotto numbers every week, just remember they are nevertheless hit-and-miss lottery numbers and you stand just as much a probability of winning with those same lotto numbers as with a lucky dip option. Yet, if you use birthday numbers in a lotto draw your particular chances of winning the lotto jackpot still stay the same but also your individual chance of keeping the lotto jackpot to yourself is significantly reduced because so many other people use birthday numbers in their choices.

Pet Loss: Should You Clone Your Cat?
Clone a Cat, Go To Jail
…or at least pay a fine. That’s the goal of animal welfare activists who announced recently that they are seeking state and federal restrictions on the small but growing pet-cloning industry.
The effort has been spearheaded by the American Anti-Vivisection Society [AAVS] (in suburban Philadelphia), and takes aim at companies such as Genetic Savings and Clone Inc., the California company that began to fill orders for cloned cats last year. The clones - which have sold for $50,000 each - are genetic duplicates of a customer’s deceased pet and represent the leading edge of an emerging sector that advocates predict could eventually reap billions of dollars for corporate cloners. The movie, the 6th Day , starring the erstwhile governator, Arnold Schwarzenegger, features pet cloning businesses in a shopping mall during its opening sequences. It may soon be the case that life imitates art in this respect and pet cloning franchises may start popping up in common shopping venues. But not if the AAVS have their way.
Should Cloning Be Allowed?
Several companies are racing to compete with Genetic Savings and Clone, the current industry leader, which has produced about a half-dozen cloned cats and aims to achieve the more difficult goal of cloning a dog this year. Some companies are already selling fish genetically engineered to glow in the dark, while one has said it will soon produce cats engineered to not cause reactions in people allergic to them.
The AAVS petitioned the Department of Agriculture to regulate pet-cloning companies as it does other animal research labs under the Animal Welfare Act. The act demands minimum standards of animal care and detailed reporting of the fates of laboratory animals. They have also been working with a California lawmaker to introduce state legislation that would ban the sale of cloned or genetically engineered pets.
Are Grieving Pet Owners Being Taken Advantage Of?
“Pet cloning companies offer false hope of never having to let go of a pet and are causing harm to animals in the process,” the AAVS concluded in a report, “Pet Cloning: Separating Facts From Fluff.”
Managers of Genetics Savings and Clone denied emphatically that their enterprise takes advantage of grieving pet owners or harms animals. “We bend over backwards to make sure people are doing this for the right reasons,” said company president Lou Hawthorne. Nonetheless, he said, “we’re open to additional oversight, provided it makes sense.”
The Risks Involved For Cloned Animals
Previously cloned animals have suffered high rates of biological abnormalities and unexpected deaths during gestation and in the first days of life. Hawthorne said that has not been the case with cats. But critics said the process raises other concerns, including the welfare of egg donor and surrogate-mother animals that must undergo multiple surgeries as part of the process of making clones.
The Risks To Owners
The potential for consumer fraud is also an issue. Clones tend to be ordered by people who are grieving the loss of a much-loved pet and who may have unrealistically high expectations of their clones. Although they share identical genetic profiles, clones do not always resemble originals because coat patterns are not strictly genetically determined. Personalities and behavior patterns are even less predictable on the basis of genetics alone. All personalities are products of some basic genetics, and the environment in which the animal is raised and, since a particular environment can never be perfectly recreated (there’s always a random element) personalities will, most likely, be different as well in any clone. “Consumers are likely under the impression that a clone is a carbon copy. We believe they are being misled,” AAVS policy analyst Crystal Miller-Spiegel said.
David Magnus, director of Stanford University’s Center for Biomedical Ethics, spoke more bluntly. “People are not getting what they think they’re getting,” Magnus said. “This is a $50,000 rip-off.”
There is certainly a war of words beginning between the cloning businesses and the AAVS. It’s likely to become a more contentious issue as there’s potentially a lot of money to be made (at $50,000 per kitten) and companies may see the AAVS’s concerns as hurting those potential profits. It’s going to be a case of “Watch This Space”.
Conclusion
Personally, however, cloning is one option I’m not in favor of but it might be for you if you’re looking at replacing a pet that’s died. As I mentioned above, the clone may look identical to your lost companion but the personality will likely be different. That’s not to say the personality will be better or worse, just different. Look at it this way - how many sets of identical twins have the same personalities despite having the same genetic make-up and being raised in the same environment? There are always random factors involved. Every personality is unique and passes by this way only once.
If you find yourself in a position where you would consider cloning to be an option that will help you cope with the death of your cat, you should do some background reading first. The National Geographic have a news item on pet cloning and some people’s reaction to it.

Divorce Survival Challenge… Yes! Is Your Winning Choice
Have you ever been left with a survival situation that requires a single definite decision? Is the answer going to be “Yes” or “No”?
Look, let’s agree that there isn’t going to be a “maybe” or a “perhaps,
if I do this or do that…” Just a simple “Yes” or “No”.
So, what would your decision be?
Oh, I’m sorry, you don’t know what the question is going to be yet,
do you?
Well, let me set a real life scene… Two weeks after my wife’s friend’s
birthday party, two and a half years ago, my wife informed me that she
wanted a divorce and was leaving to live with another man. She had decided
that her life could only be bettered by living the rest of her life with
this man. The reasons for her to decide to go were her own (I still don’t
know for certain) but she had made her choice, “Yes” to go. It was a good
choice for her at that moment in time (although I’m not sure she would
agree with that statement now).
On that evening, I found myself stood beside a fast flowing river not
knowing what to do next. I had run away from the argument and the problem
of what response to give to the ultimatum… My wife was going whether
I liked it or not.
There was no choice left to me. My life was over and there was no reason
to carry on any longer. I just couldn’t carry on because there wasn’t any
point. My beautiful wife had told me in a single sentence that it was all
over. Instantly, she had made my life worthless. Here was 18 years of love,
happiness, hard work, fatherhood… completely wasted. What was I to do?
What would you have decided to do? Jump in and end it all? I thought,
as I stood there thinking, “It would be so easy and quick to finish it
all now.”
In the similar circumstances in your life what have you decided?
Guess what my choice was. There couldn’t have been any other choice
really, could there? Death in the river would have would have removed all
choice and time for thought, after which there could be no “Yes” or “No”
to concern myself with. Whereas, at home there was my teenage son concentrating
upon school examinations… he would need to be told, carefully. And there
was our pet cat that would still need feeding… it’s strange what your
priorities can be at a moment of crisis.
But, did I want to go home?
“No”, I didn’t want to return home but it would have meant running away
from my life, responsibilities and sense of value. It would be an ending…
but it would be a nothing ending… no resolution!
“Yes”, on the other hand allowed opportunity for a new beginning, what
ever that might involve. A New Life, perhaps, with a whole New World of
opportunities and experiences. With all manner of new people to meet and
get to know and…
Did I really want any of this? No, I did not. I’d worked half my life
with my lady trying to help build a family, provide a home and find happiness
and everything that held value in my mind. But, in a short sentence ” I
want a divorce”, it was all gone.
It was time to take control, of myself and the consequences.
I decided not to jump into the river. I’m not a terrific swimmer and
I would only have fought to stay alive… It would have been a horrible
struggle against the speed of the current and whirlpools
that I could see in front of me. It wouldn’t have been an easy end. It
would have left an incredible mess to sort out and I couldn’t leave my
family to clear up the mess. So, the decision had to be “No” to the quick
painless death and “Yes” to life and all the resultant problems of learning
to live life alone.
“Yes”, there would be family, friends and his school that should be
informed who might be able to help my son in what could be a difficult
time for him. At work, there were designs and challenges I still had ambition
to complete. And there were friends who I might be able to talk with and
gain personal support from. I was certain that if I looked hard enough
I hadn’t lost value, nor had I lost my sense of worth. There was an awful
lot to concentrate upon and a great deal to do!
Well, as you can imagine this was the first of many tremendous divorce
survival challenges, including…
Hurt and pain
Shouting and anger
Legal battles
An emotionally damaged son to look after
Learning to cook and feed ourselves with good healthy food
Learning to keep the house clean, clothes washing and ironing
And maintain sanity and purpose
“YES”, to the challenge of life through and after divorce was the definitely
the winning choice! I’m happy that there could be no other choice. I have
found something of self-belief and I have seen that I have real value in the
eyes of a person that means most to me… my son.
Don’t you agree? Or are you a better swimmer?

US Generating 35% of Global Spam
The number of spam-infected computers has gone up by 50% since last year, reports McAfee, one of the leading computer safety companies in the world. The company says that it has already spotted twelve million computers that have been hijacked all over the world since the beginning of 2009.
The figures have been published in a report by Deloitte, which is a leading accounting and consulting firm. In the report, Deloitte stressed on the need to prioritize cyber security immediately, to avoid the massive economic and personal loss that this can cause. Time is limited and the situation is quite grave, and if quick action is not taken, things could get out of hand, claimed Greg Pellegrino from Deloitte.
If you have been affected by spam, you can blame it on the United States 35 times out of 100, McAfee data shows. US is the leading producer of spam with 35% of the worldwide spam in 2009 originating from the country. The UK does well by not featuring on the top-ten list in terms of spam generation. Worried about being on the internet, click here for broadband advice and information.
Users in the US have a lot to complain about, as they also suffer from computer infections the most globally. The country recorded an extremely high 18% computer infection rate. It is closely followed by China, where about 13% of the computers are hijacked. UK features towards the lower half of this list with a 6% infection rate. However, Italy stands out as the safest escape from cyber attacks with a mere 2 to 3 % infected computer systems, according to McAfee.
HLS Lawyers’ Viewpoint amidst Economic Turmoil
During a panel discussion among Harvard Law School alumni, lawyers gave their perspective on the intense topic “Corporate Leadership in a Time of Turmoil” last October 23, 2008. The discussion was held at the Ames Courtroom of the Austin Hall. A number of Harvard professors and graduates alike were invited to the panel discussion to talk about the widely known corporate problem.
One of the panelists was former dean and professor of law, Scott C. Roberts. A leading scholar of corporate law, he mentioned that the topic involved greater focus on financial turmoil as the crisis prolonged during the past months, and has become more than just an issue about leadership.
However, CEO and chairman of Lazard, Bruce Wasserstein, cited two central traits in leadership characteristics: integrity and “judgment, or common sense”. Bruce Wasserstein also mentioned that HLS excelled in developing such traits among its graduates. “A little bit of thinking goes a long way, especially on Wall Street,” Bruce Wasserstein said.
Panelist Frank Dangeard, 1985 graduate and former CEO of S.G. Warburg investment bank, cited three issues that affect corporate leadership. The first was systematic shortsightedness, especially in the past three or four years. The second issue he mentioned was the “black sheep problem”. Lastly, Dangeard said checks and balances breakdown also affected corporate leadership.
According to Bruce Wasserstein, in the industry where they move, what may be perceived as leadership may not be real leadership, and people may not take notice of this in years. The leading investment banker also warned against easy and phony solutions.
Court Imposes Heavy Fine on Club for Causing Customer’s death
After an incident involving death of one of its customers, a Birmingham nightclub has been asked to pay a heavy penalty of eighty five thousand pounds along with thirty three thousand pounds as costs of the suit. An investigation into the matter had been undertaken by the Birmingham City Council and the nightclub was prosecuted under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act, 1974. The club had pleaded guilty of failure to ensure the safety of its customers.
The club was fined because it did not have proper safety procedures and did not impart safety training to its staff, both of which are its obligations under law, according to the Chairman of the Council’s Public Protection Committee, Councillor Neil Eustace. The Councillor hoped that this verdict would send the message to the nightclubs that they will have to face strict action if they do not give adequate care and attention to their legal obligations towards the safety of their patrons.
The incident, which prompted the prosecution of the nightclub, occurred in early 2007. Christopher Clarke had to be removed from the Oceana Nightclub as he insisted on consuming alcohol on the dance floor. He was thrown out from the fire exit and landed in an enclosed car park from which the only way to get out was by using a key fob, which was only given to those who had parked their cars there.
Therefore, Mr. Clarke could not get out of the parking lot through a proper exit and attempted to escape by climbing into the next building. In the process, he fell on the floor from a height of about four meters and suffered head injuries. When his body was found at 2 A.M., he had already succumbed to his injuries.

Nikki and Benny, My Therapy Visiting Dogs.
My two therapy dogs, Nikki and Benny, bring joy to our friends. Here is short report of our visit.
First, let me tell you just a little bit about my two dogs, a short little Bio on each. There are pictures on my dog therapy page. www.mimfreedom.com/dogtherapy.htm
Benny, my black lab, is about 6 years old now. Benny is a wonderful dog (even though he likes to steal my pillows). He loves going to visit our friends in the home. His tail is like a rotator as soon as we come near our first “friend”. Clearly, this is where he loves to be. Actually, this is where he belongs. He is gentle, good natured and full of love and affection. And, he is always hungry….yup, a true lab, he is always hungry. Our friends at the home love him to death, so to speak. He truly makes their day brighter and better.
Then there is Nikki, my 1 year golden puppy. Nikki is a typical 1 year golden. She is full of life. She keeps me hopping. And, just like Benny, she brings pure gold to our friends.
Both my dogs love to go visiting. They know as soon as we get close to the home where we are going and why we are there. This is such a wonderful work.
I encourage anyone who has a dog that loves people, is well mannered to investigate the possibility of dog therapy visiting. The nice aspect about this is, the dogs do NOT have to be obedience trained, just obedient. Big difference!
A few weeks ago, when I brought my golden to the home, one of the directors noticed that one of the residents was watching the dog. The director said why don’t you go over and see what she will do. This lady we were going to see was in one of those high backed chairs that also serves as a bed. She was not able to sit, or move up. But, she was able to move her head sideways, drop her arm, and pet my dog. WOW! She was thrilled. She gently talked to Nikki, and when I asked her a few questions about dogs, she answered me. Now, the director came over to me, and told me this lady never speaks to anyone, except to tell them where to…., well you know what, right? This lady was unhappy, and other then telling everyone off, she never talked to anyone conversationally. The director was thrilled to see her react this way. These experiences make visiting worth while. And let me tell you, it IS worth while.
