Avoid Wedding Rip-Offs
Planning a wedding can be a stressful event. The last thing you need is to be ripped-off by an unscrupulous wedding vendor or planner. Here are a few tips to help avoid this problem.
Make Your Wedding Arrangements and Bookings As Far In Advance As Possible
Most facilities, vendors, and planners can be booked more than a year in advance. If possible, take advantage of this window of opportunity. Should something go wrong, it will provide you with more time to make alternate arrangements. Also, be aware that some vendors will actually charge you more if you order or book things at the last minute.
Shop Around and Deal With Trustworthy People
Before booking anything you should shop around and get an idea of current prices for each category of your wedding. Don’t just hire the first caterer you meet with. Ask around with family, friends, co-workers, etc. and get their recommendations about services they may have used. If you want to be extra safe in this regard, you could also call your local Better Business Bureau. They can provide you with any problem information they may have received regarding a particular company.
Get Everything in Writing
It would seem obvious to do this, but a lot of couples tend to go on “faith” of what a vendor says, then are shocked with the vendor doesn’t follow through. Get everything, down to the smallest detail, in writing and be sure both you and the vendor agree on all points before signing any contract. Include exact descriptions, such as if you are ordering flowers: how may bouquets, the exact type and color of the flowers, etc.
Be Aware of The Fine Print
Read any contracts over very carefully. Pay particular attention to their cancellation policy. You want to make sure it includes a provision for a refund of the deposit if you cancel or change your wedding date by a certain time period before your wedding. Of course, reasonably, you would not get a deposit back if you cancelled two days before the wedding. Be sure to also include a written statement on the contract that you will not pay for services and will expect a complete refund on any deposits if the company does not deliver exactly as specified in the contract. A reputable company will respect this clause.
Regarding Photographers and DJ’s
When booking these services with a company, often you may wish to have a particular photographer/videographer and DJ for your wedding because you have seen their work or heard their play style and really like it. Make sure this is detailed on the contract with the person’s name. Again, also include the clause that if that particular person is substituted, you will not pay for the service and will receive a refund on all deposits.
This happened at our wedding with the DJ. The one we were told was coming and who knew how our ceremony music was laid out did not show up, and the substitute DJ that showed had no idea how the wedding service was to proceed with the music. There was a mess up with some songs during the ceremony and we had no recourse, as we didn’t include that provision in the contract. So be aware of this. Don’t pay for a last minute substitute (unless you were thoroughly happy with their service).

Gambling House Gambling: What You Need to Know about Taking a Chance
All Poker Casino
Assuming you aren’t familiar with betting saloon wagering, you’ll find more about that here…
Typically, a betting house is an edifice that focuses on betting. Paying Customers will test their luck by operating the slot machines or trying out different pastimes of luck. Betting establishment games routinely have ovious probabilities built in which promise the gaming organization reserves its profit over the betting fans.
A large number betting saloon games can goad you into being overly dependent very quickly. There is the archetypal one-armed-bandit, a coin operated machine with three reels that whirl if a handle coupled to it is manipulated. The machine consistently remunerates established by a range of logos shown on the dials on the machine. Disastrously, casino games suggest the delusion of influence, thus deluding the customer — the victim can make judgments, but these can not truly compensate for the client’s disadvantage. This is due to the betting hall not paying the entire wager as expected. This policy is often noticeable in acclaimed casino games such as Texas hold’em poker, dice games, roulette or blackjack.
Straight poker is really an incredibly popular casino pastime. The gambling enthusiasts, jealously guarding their partially obscured hands, bet into a principal pot that is granted to the last player owning the highest combination of cards. (Obviously, the coolest bluffing hand may actually win too…)
Resembling straight poker, blackjack is also a highly fashionable casino game. A sizeable portion of its fame is caused by the mix of luck and smartness and choice making, as well as a process identified as “card counting”. It is a playing tactics in which gambling enthusiasts will switch the odds of the card game for their own ends both by wagering & procedural decisions based on the cards shown.
“Craps” is a highly popular gambling hall pastime where you bet money on the roll of dice. Bettors place bets on the outcome of of one cycle, or on a sequence of spins of two dice. Contrary to blackjack, there just isn’t any probable bona fide winner tactics punters can play on to boost the odds.
Roulette is an incredibly popular casino gambling pastime; a croupier spins a roulette wheel containing a set of 37 (classical roulette) or precisely 38 (American or Vegas roulette) independently tagged chambers in which the rolling ball must settle, which marks the winning number If a punter wagers on any given number which is successful so it’s their lucky day, the promised dividend will be thirty five to one, the initial stake proper being paid back. So in total the initial wager is multiplied by a factor of thirty-six.
We recommend you try to be very on the watch nevertheless for all of these casino gambling pastimes may well be extra addiction forming. Copious lives may have been spoilt through uncontrolled gambling & although it might be enjoyable, do your best to balance your gambling.

An October Afternoon in Lima & The Wild-cats of the Nevados
11)An October Afternoon in Lima, Peru
The sun sets upon my brow
A book upon my lap
The city’s cars I hear nearby
as a realm of thoughts…
Sink deep into my mind
I am subdued by the cooing birds
And angels that whisper nearby
My body seems to crave the stillness
the beauty of the sky…
And the ocean sounds, nearby
Note: written October, 31, 2005, at Martina Gomez’s, Cosmiatra, in Lima; Peru, while waiting for the author’s wife.
17) The Wild-cats of Huaytapallana (Nevados)
They run wild, the wild-cats of the Nevados
(by Huaytapallana)
their hopes and dreams in a feast of baby-lambs…
Lo! behind hidden rocks, and mountain shadows
Above the fleeting nightthe sky lapse like foam:
Thus, here is where the wild-cats of the Nevados roam:
Roam the stararchival gloom….
Vague on nightno laws, they run: run untamed
Roam the anew dark; born into a world of winds…
Winds and forgotten morn. Lift up your everlasting eyes
(I cry!…)
To wars unknownto the hunters and farmers
Of Huaytapllana, and the Nevados…whom will kill you…
At blood-red dusk; yes, ah! Yes…
They die a sullen death: poisoned wild-cat (s)!
A heritage of overdue fate; thus,
Their appointed course of time, runs out: faint of
Breath!… (they will not see the dawn).
Note: #907 (written one day after visiting Whita-Pallana, and the surrounding Nevados. Information gathered by talking to the natives of the area ((written 10/27/2005))

Accommodation Deals Can Be Had Thanks to the Recession
would you believe the pound is fetching less than a Euro at currency exchanges, one would believe that there would be a lot of excellent deals to be booked in skiing resorts this ski season as potential snowboarders rest in the UK to avoid the crunch. Provisional facts just now announced show that ski areas are 84 % booked over the Xmas and New year period. 15 % higher than the identical period of time in 2007.
One will have more luck in the new year which currently has a 34 percent reservation rate. Signs of a downturn is across the important February skiing holiday month that has 68 % bookings, 4 percent down on a year ago. Reservation centres in the ski domains of Luz Ardiden, Val Thorens, Risoul and Risoul have observed increased demand during November encouraged by the good early on ski season snow. Courchevel has higher bookings compared to Chamonix, and Le Grand-Bornand experienced a fantastic Christmas.
However there is heavy demand for larger self catering chalets, 6 to 13 beds, as skiers group together to save money. Evidence shows that DIY skiing holidays are holding up, perhaps evidence that keen boarders will not fore-go their trip to the mountains. However reservations for package holidays are lower than last year.

Modern Wedding Invitations For the Tragically Hip
Modern living isn’t just a lifestyle - it’s a look.
Think streamlined. Understated. It’s all about high-quality materials and simple lines. How do you get this in a modern wedding invitation? Think design, color, and texture.
Modern Design
Yesterday’s wedding invitations were ornate creations on heavy white paper. Rectangular paper. Really rebellious people used a colored ink for the text.
Boring.
Now, it’s all about choices. Modern invitations come in any shape you can dream up. Squares. Circles. Or in the form of ticket stubs.
And the envelopes that hold them are gorgeous.
Stroll through a specialty paper store. You’ll find envelopes that open like flowers. Or origami-like structures with intricate folds.
The modern invitation isn’t just a message. It’s a work of art.
And a keepsake in its own right.
Modern Color
White never goes out of style. But it isn’t the only option.
Choose a paper in a vivid color if that suits your personality.
A more modern invitation has layers. Choose a deep color for the base layer. Glue on a smaller sheet in a neutral shade. Coordinate the invitation colors with your wedding.
You’ve just created eye candy.
Modern Texture
The modern invitation moves beyond your basic smooth paper.
You can find paper embedded with leaves. Or flowers. Two-tone shimmery paper. Paper so nubby you start petting it.
With all these choices, it’s easy to go crazy. You want your wedding invitations to be fun. And beautiful.
But your guests should know what it is when it comes in the mail.
For the perfect modern look, balance all of these factors.
Let your outer envelope sport a nubby texture. Or a cool shape. Let your guest find a clean white square mounted on a lavish background color.
Let the color, texture, and design draw them into the mood of your wedding. Before they even arrive.
The modern invitation isn’t just a look. It’s an experience. It’s perfection.

Family Law
A frustrating lack of permanence plagues modern relationships. Approximately one of every two marriages ends in divorce and the average length of a marriage before divorce is only five years. Many couples today chose cohabitation over traditional marriage. What happened to the idealized family depicted in Father Knows Best, Leave it To Beaver, The Donna Reed Show and Ozzie and Harriet?
No simple answer exists to this question: our intimate relationships have been affected by the industrialization of society, urbanization, continued changes in the traditional roles of the sexes and greater economic independence for women, a rise in the percentage of the population pursuing a college education, a lessening of social pressure against couples who cohabit, the recognition of legal rights for llegitimate children, a decreasing birth rate, improved birth control methods and a longer life expectancy. All these factors contribute to our alarming divorce rate.
Is it any wonder the state ( literally, the state you live in and as, generically, any form of government) must pass laws that affect our personal relationships as we struggle for answers?
You can take opposing views of the laws in our country. One argument is that they protect society and its members, but the flip side contends they are a means of oppression. The laws that impact our intimate relationships are not necessarily harmful or intrusive in and of themselves. However, forming a relationship without a working knowledge of these laws and without considering all the ramifications can lead to situations where the end result is both.
The state’s role in romantic relationships has often been justified by “public policy” interests. The term “public policy,” though vague, is used to justify laws or actions that would injure the public welfare or be contrary to public decency, sound policy and good morals.
Understanding the necessity of laws that impact on our personal relationships starts with the recognition that our society is not the first to regulate love and the law. The efforts of governments throughout history to control the couplings of its citizens illustrates why and how our own laws were created and why and how, inevitably, they will adapt as society changes.
The one form of marriage permitted under our laws is the only option for couples who want a legal relationship. Happily, the single status is only a temporary situation for most Americans. Few will stop looking for love, trust, companionship and sexual and emotional fulfillment with another person. However, couples wanting to remarry, parents with ready-made families, couples over 65 looking for companionship without legal complications, all seek answers from the same legal relationship.
Although divorce laws have undergone radical changes in our lifetimes, the marriage laws have remained relatively static. Unfortunately, because couples considering marriage have many different needs, it is not uncommon for the laws that govern marriage to conflict with these needs. Too often, couples learn too late that financial penalties come attached to the marriage license. Marriage may be the only means of forming a legal and financial relationship under the law but, for many, legal marriage simply implies that they must suffer penalties to legalize their relationship.
As traditional marriage has proven less and less capable of living up to its potential in our society, alternatives such as unmarried cohabitation have arisen. The increase in couples who choose to cohabit can be traced to the fact that the marriage laws are not meeting the needs of these citizens in forming their personal relationships. Although there are a variety of reasons why couples choose to “just live together,” financial disadvantages are a major factor.
If you are previously married and considering a remarriage, you know that the older bride or groom has different needs than the young couple entering a first marriage. The responsibilities and obligations from prior marriages, particularly when children are involved, cannot be ignored. Men and women over fifty who have minor children fight the same uphill battle as younger couples do in defining and fulfilling their obligations of visitation, custody, support, and inheritance. These problems create stress for the old family, as well as the new, upon remarriage.
Even without children, it is possible that obligations to former spouses can impact a new marriage. Older couples must consider the potential loss of private pensions, alimony, social security benefits or tax advantages because of a remarriage. Also important is the issue of inheritance of assets that may have taken a lifetime to accumulate. Older couples may want to limit their financial obligations to each other in the areas of support, medical costs, insurance, and pension benefits.
If you are a refugee from the marital wars, you learned the hard way about precautions that could have been taken the first time and should be taken the next. The happily married couple doesn’t need to learn from experience; they, too, can benefit from the information in this book. If you are one of the lucky couples who has beat the odds and stayed married, we want to show you how to continue to protect and preserve your relationship…and your money. Check out loveandthelaw.com to discover what you need to know about your relationship.

Bridal Shower Party Advice
The bridal shower is the prewedding party organized by the bridesmaids or close female friends. Its purpose is to shower the bride with good wishes. Obviously, the bride is the center of attention at the bridal shower. Although it should not matter who is hosting organizing the event, traditionally, family was discouraged from hosting bridal showers, because it may look like they are digging for gifts.
There is no rule on who is to host the shower. The bridesmaids, friends, or family usually hosts it. The place of the party is usually someone’s house, but bridal showers can be held at restaurants. One of the most important aspect of planning a successful bridal shower is to only invite guest who will be invited to the wedding too. Anyone invited to the shower would have every right to be expecting an invitation to the wedding. To avoid embarrassing mistakes, always consult the bride and key decision makers about the guest list.
The bridal shower, just like your wedding, should be on a day that is easy to attend. Therefore, Saturday is probably the best day to have the party. It enables your guests to attend. The bridal shower should be close to the wedding day but not less than a couple of weeks before.
Bridal shower favors are an important part of the event. Some of the most popular bridal shower favors are personalized chocolates, or personalized bath gels. If you have a beach theme bridal shower, your favors can compliment it. For example, dolphin wine stoppers, or seashell candles are very popular beach bridal shower favor ideas.
Written invitations are not mandatory. Most people have an e-mail address, so einvitations may be the most cost effective option.
If the party is at someone’s home, usually finger food is served. Pizza is another popular choice of food. Bridal showers are informal event, and you don’t need to make a big fuss about the food.

Get Discount West End Musical Tickets on the Internet
City breaks always seem like such splendid plan - to leave behind habits and habitats, watching something new; perhaps listen to something unique. Although, without a purpose, weekends away can time and again fall a bit flat, a case of traipsing around an enormous town, regularly popping into outlets and studying monuments. This may be satisfactory if you are satisfied to go with the flow, conversely if you like being busy and ‘doing’ something then theatre show breaks can be a splendid choice.
Even if you can endlessly travel to New York, why would you want to? As there is loads of talent & enjoyment much more nearer to home in London. Famously, the City has a large mixture of unbelievable theatres, most of which are clustered together throughout the West End - a place in which life appears to become a little more rosy and everything turns out very well at the end of the day; or at least if not, you can get lost in touching moments and feel a considerably better human being. Buy cheap theatre tickets from the Leister Square Box Office.
However for lavish, bright entertainment throughout a London theatre show break most individuals go to musicals. These can be anything from the heart-wrenching misfortune like that of Les Misérables to the rollerblading phenomenon that is unquestionably Starlight Express. Although, fans of rock and roll, doo-wap & men & girls in tremendously tight black leather will only be concerned about one theatre show - Grease. Taking the universe by storm in the nineteen seventies, this electrifying show has never failed to amaze spectators, transferring with consummate style to the big screen. Featuring a handsome John Travolta and an impossibly thin Olivia Newton-John, the movie went on to be chosen for an Oscar.
A great many people will have a small room in their heart saved for Grease, no matter how old they are, or indeed what sex. Its 1 of those enjoyable motion pictures that transcends age groups; likewise the musical show is fit for both young and old alike. The ease and liveliness of Rydell High is infectious, the late nineteen-fifties garments are so desirably retro, and the music songs are so contagious that you’ll be singing in your seats.

Feeding Bettas
Feeding Bettas
Knowing the right way to feed your betta is fundamental, because not doing it right can have big consequences on your bettas health. Nothing is more stressful than dealing with a sick fish, right? So, let’s do it right, and get rid from the calamity!
Here are some golden rules on feeding your betta.
First, select the proper food. Bettas are selective eaters. A betta specific pellet is ok, but live and frozen foods are preferable. The recommended diet includes frozen brine shrimp and frozen bloodworms.
The next rule is to not overfeed your Bettas. Carefully dose the meals, because even if the fish ate all you give him, he will produce so much more waist when overfed and the pollution level of the jar he is in will go beyond safe range, this problem is smaller if you keep your betta in a larger aquarium. Remember not to leave uneaten food in the Aquarium! Once your betta and rest of the fish is done eating, you must remove all uneaten left over food. If you do not remove it, it will punctually rot and cause havoc in the tank.
Bettas prefer to eat from the upper parts of the water column. They don’t really enjoy eating from the bottom of the tank. So before dropping the food in the tank, make sure you have his attention. Let him see the food, get it close to his face from the outside of the aquarium, let him check out what it is, and then there you go! Drop food in front of his nose. The best way is to drop a tiny bit of food–about 6 frozen brine shrimp, watch the bettas eat it all and then look at the belly, if it looks the same as it did before you fed, it’s ok to give them more, but always watch and make sure to make the second portion smaller than the first.
Your betta should go for the food right away, but if not, watch where the food sinks, and what the betta does. If more than 15 min he has not eaten the food yet, remove the food. Never let the water go cloudy. If it is already, then change it, as cloudy water will threaten your betta’s health. Normally, small bowls or containers should be changed at least twice a week. Larger tank can be changed once a week. And notice if the ammonia and nitrite levels are up the roof, because both are very bad for your Betta. Also be wary of harmful bacteria they can ruin your fish life, but don’t kill of all bacteria in the aquarium since a lot of bacteria is essential for a well functioning aquarium.
During the pre-spawning period you can feed a wide variety of food, including blackworms, Grindal worms, fruit flies, brine shrimp, mosquito larvae and frozen blood worms (all are life except the frozen blood worms). During this period the adult fish may be fed 4 times per day or more depending on how close the fish are to being placed into the spawning tank.
You can start feeding your betta fry, 5 days after the spawning. Feed the fry several times per day, using a variety of foods (infusoria, boiled egg yolk, baby brine shrimp…) made up of small particles.
