Creative Ways to Get Quality Incoming Links
There are more ways to generate links to your pages than just exchanging them. Create quality links by doing the following:
Get your site listed on large directories like Open Directory Project and Yahoo Directory. There is evidence that these listings can serve to improve your PageRank on Google considerably.
Write a press release about your website. Submit it to online newswires like PRWeb.com or Click2NewSites.com. You can also submit to newspapers that run their stories on their websites.
Join associations related to your business or field of specialty. Many of these associations will link to their members.
Have your articles with your byline published on other websites. Submit your articles to sites that host free content.
Link the various pages of your website together. Your most important links should be on all your pages for easy navigation and to increase your link popularity. You should also link to relevant information on your other pages, when appropriate. It seems that internal links may not carry as much weight as links from outside your website, but do use them.
Create an informative and useful site. If your website is good, people will WANT to link to you. You won’t need to ask them.
Offer testimonials for products and services related to your industry. Many websites will give links in return for testimonials. For example, if you are a bookkeeper, provide testimonials for various bookkeeping-related software and tools.

What Is on Most Peoples Christmas Wish List?
If you are one of the many people this Christmas season who have absolutely no idea what to buy for the people in your life that won’t end up returned after Christmas, this is the article for you. Discover ways to purchase what they desire, or ideally, provide them with a gift card and then enjoy the remainder of the day in each other’s company.
Each year Holiday spending gets more and more excessive. Christmas is time for picking up piles and piles of wrapping paper and trying to figure out how to fit gifts in cars, even though every year we swear that the next year we will be better prepared. Everyone loves gifts (especially kids), but is that a reason to lose our minds every year at the mall?
The problem is that most people don’t know what everyone wants. The theory is that if you buy the person a lot of gifts, chances are they will like at least one of them. If you really want to go all out for someone, then do some research first. Inquire of someone who is aware of what they desire. In the course of the year, make a few subtle inquiries so when the gift occasion arises you won’t be stumped. This will hopefully stop you from buying those useless gadgets and trinkets. Gift cards are always an option, when every other idea seems likely to fail. These can be personalized by including a few ornaments or hand-baked cookies or even a personalized card telling them that you wished that they have the last say about their gift. Spending time with friends and family is more rewarding than any presents could ever be.
A lot of people feel that gift cards are not personal, but of you think about it, you realize that giving a friend something he or she doesnt like or need is not personal either. Gift ideas are hard to come up with but gift cards are a great back up when questioning and snooping about fail. For the most part people either don’t know what they want, or they don’t know how to express it. There are lots of ways to give pleasure to this group. Here is a great site for some gifts for everyone.
Is Reciprocal Linking Dead?
If you have been reading some of the internet forums, the last Google update certainly caused quite a stir, and it has left a lot of people asking the question “Is reciprocal linking Dead?”.
This latest Google update affected a lot of websites that depended on their reciprocal linking strategy to rank high in Google.
If a webmaster wanted to outrank a competing site, They would work out how many links they needed from different websites with a certain PR rating and then commence a reciprocal linking campaign to out rank their competitors.
This strategy was certainly sound and was very effective. But most webmasters would swap links with anybody and everybody, so long as the site had a Google page rank (the higher the better).
Each link swapped was a step toward ranking higher in the search engines and beating out their competitors.
This strategy may have worked in the past when Google was not as smart, but it appears Google has wised up to this strategy. So, it is not surprising that as Google and the other search engines get more sophisticated that the effectiveness of reciprocal linking has diminished as an important factor for ranking well in seach engines.
Which brings us back to the question “Is reciprocal linking dead?”
Instead of asking yourself if reciprocal linking is dead, you should really ask yourself what outcome do you want to achieve with your reciprocal linking strategy.
If reciprocal linking is your only strategy to rank high in the search engines, then you should re-think your strategy because reciprocal linking is not quite dead, but it has taken a big hit.
I have not stopped my reciprocal linking strategies because I am aiming for the following outcomes:
1. To drive traffic to my site from other relevant websites.
2. To add value to my visitors by offering them links to websites that they may be interested in.
3. If I rank higher in the search engines, then this is a bonus.
Before swapping a link with another site I am always mindful that if a visitor sees a link on my site, they correctly assume that I have recommended this website to them, and, if the site I send them to is not relevant or very good, then I loose credibility and a possible return visitor.
Whenever I am going to swap links with another site I always ask myself the following questions:
1. What is the other site about and does it compliment my website?
2. Will my visitors find this site useful to them?
3. What is the quality of the content of the website?
If I think my visitors will find this site useful I then look at the site from the webmasters point of view and ask myself the following questions.
1. How will their visitors find my link? If a visitor cannot find my link then how am I going to get any traffic.
2. Is there a link on their home page (preferably on all their pages) to their links directory?
3. Where is my link going to be placed? Is it more than two clicks away from the home page?
4. Does the website have a sitemap and is the links page included in the site map?
If, and only if the website passes the above criteria will I proceed with a link exchange.
A reciprocal Linking strategy may not be as effective to rank high in the search engines, but it still is an important part of getting targetted traffic to your website if done correctly.

See Hippos on a Winter Safari
For those holiday makers that have never tried a walking safari in Africa might find it difficult to imagine the breathtaking wildlife you might well see. The holiday makers who come to a wildlife safari are regular people like you and me, some are into taking photos, some tourists are into wildlife but all of them are interested in a new super experience. Kaingo are more than just a Safari Holidays company, they are the market leaders.
The astonishing thing about a wildlife safari is the fact it is so different from the usual holiday to Spain, there are very little children. Each African walking safari company will give you an English speaking tourist guide to take you through the sensational areas of Africa. The most popular wildlife you will see are tigers. These incredible animals are not tame and of course don?t feed them. If you are interested in taking photographs of the eagles you should make sure you turn off the flash as you do not want to scare them. The stunning animals in Africa can often put a smile on your face.
If you would love to discover more about astonishing safari holidays in Africa you may use the search engines to happen upon a company that offers safari holidays from the UK, the costs could range from two hundred pounds to eight hundred pounds.

Flotation Device that Flies
Some believe that a flying flotation device is an unworkable concept. That is to say a small “puffy” UAV or unmanned aerial vehicle, which flies out to a drowning victim. Yet if you were drowning or fell over board of a cruise ship, military ship, large yacht or oilrig you would beg to differ? If you were a victim of a riptide and were now quarter mile out, you might be glad to have a visitation from such a flying flotation.
Critics argue that it takes time to set up a “UAV”, type in its coordinates, which are bound to be off a little, and then send it out. Not to mention that, the kid has likely taken on water by then. Even if this overly complicated system does happen to work without any human error or equipment failure - now you expect a half drowned victim with no
training to perform a self-rescue? And how much does a UAV cost as compared with a PWC personal watercraft? You didn’t mention the cost, betting it is quite high.
The critics in this case are wrong as let’s face it face it flotation devices can only be thrown 50 yards at maximum and you have a man over board and traveling away from them at 20-35 knots, it is not even going to get close. So the small “puffy” UAV or unmanned aerial vehicle, which can be hand launched to the potential drowning victim could be just the answer. This device would look like an exaggerated model airplane, which needs a diet or looks like it belongs in a cartoon of some type. This device would not be any more complicated than a GPS with a dial on it and a push button to start the battery which runs the propeller, point and shoot. Ever turn on an Alpha Numeric Pager; add a dial and throw it, it is that simple.
Getting a flotation device to a drowning victim is about the best thing you can do and the faster the better, therefore a flying flotation device makes sense. Often rescuers hesitate and do not make good use of their tools or the latest technologies and are complete afraid. Often they are so busy trying to be safe that it takes them 15-minutes to get locked and loaded and ready for the rescue. If humans cannot get it done, use robots and technology and lets save some taxpayers some money in all these training of first responders for such things as sexual harassment at FEMA. We can build these FFDs or Flying Flotation Device units for under $1,000 on economies of scale.
Fortunately the even the critics agree that the Flying Flotation Device has some merit and one recently said; “I’m sure that there are situations and applications in which your UAV
would be the tool of choice. Offshore oil platforms would make a good starting point, and unlike a public or private beach, they might even be able to afford this technology, and the extensive training program, which will surely have to accompany it. Once they and a few other strategically chosen customers start using it, if lifeguards and yachters want to start using it too - bonus!”
The fact is that a flying foldout wing flotation device makes sense anytime you have humans around large bodies of water to prevent unnecessary drowning. So the peanut gallery needs to embrace this new technology and this application. Think about it.

European Cruise - Expert Guide
Europe is one of the premier cruise destinations in the
world. Its attraction is overpowering - grand cities,
relics of ancient civilizations and breathtaking scenery
await European cruise passengers at almost every port
of call. The variety is such that one visit to this part
of the world is never enough - it’ll have you coming back
for more…again and again!
European cruises depart from most major seaports around
Europe. They often cover a specific region of Europe,
although some companies do offer a whirlwind tour of the
major sites right around the European coastline.
Starting in Northern Europe, cruises around Scandinavia
and the Baltic States are popular, especially those that
take in the Norwegian fjords. Here, you can delight in
stunning scenery where mountains rise up like towers in
every direction, and where waterfalls and glaciers are
almost within touching distance. There are majestic cities
too. Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Helsinki, home to
the Uspenski Cathedral - the largest orthodox church in
Western Europe - can all be built into a European cruise
itinerary.
Northern Europe also has its fair share of specialist
cruises. You can do a cruise of the Baltic palaces or
simply enjoy Norway’s awe-inspiring craggy coastline. A
very popular Northern European cruise is a tour up the
Scandinavian coastline into the Arctic Circle to view
the ‘midnight sun’.
A European cruise around Western Europe embraces the
British Isles, Ireland, the Low Countries and France.
Scottish castles, the emerald green landscapes of Ireland
and a visit to a French vineyard and chateaux are just
some of the highlights of a cruise around Western Europe.
You could also build in visits to historic ports of call,
such as Portsmouth in England, where Nelson’s ‘Victory’
can be toured.
Moving further south into the Mediterranean Sea, a
European cruise takes in the glory of the historical and
beautiful Mediterranean coastline. Portugal, Spain, the
French Riviera, Italy, Croatia, Greece and Turkey all
have their own attractions. The colosseum of Rome, the
birthplace of Salvador Dali, Monaco’s grandiose vista
and the famous Turkish bazaars await all those who elect
for a European cruise in the Mediterranean.
There are a number of specialist tours in the
Mediterranean region too. You can enjoy the delights of
classical Greece and its magnificent islands, or discover
the magic of island hopping from the Balearic Islands in
the west of the Mediterranean to Cyprus in the east.
A European cruise is a true voyage of discovery. Tour this
region and you’ll unearth the very soul of Europe and
uncover a past that is rich in intrigue and drama.

True Martial Arts and the Job of a Warrior
The martial arts and the concept of self-protection is much more than mere punching and kicking, or the development of skill with a weapon. Just as a martial artist or, in the grander sense, a warrior-protector, is engaged in much more than the mere study of violence and violent methods.
This is just as so now as it has been for the past several thousand years. Regardless of the term we use to describe this person…
…knight…
…champion…
…hero, etc…
The warrior is one who understands that his job or purpose is not about killing, fighting, or dying…
…it’s about living.
The true warrior understands that, while there is a need for those who can protect themselves and others from the hatred and animosity of others, ultimately these skills are to be used to insure the harmonious continuation of the highest achievements of mankind: Love, Peace, & the successful achievement of one’s Dreams.
At Warrior Concepts International, students are required to study and reflect so that they might come to an understanding of the difference between a…
Fighter
Soldier, and a…
Warrior
How about you? What do you think, if anything, makes these three types of combatants, different?
Certainly, if we were to look up any one of theses words in a dictionary or thesaurus, it’s quite likely that we’d find one or both of the other two words in the definition.
It cannot be argued that each one fights. In fact, if we were to look only at the actions and techniques used when each is engaged in combat, it would be difficult to tell the difference between them. But…
…there is a difference.
Quite a few actually but, for now, let’s take a look at a primary, philosophical difference - the “reason” that each chooses to fight.
The Difference is in the Intention and Motivation - Not in the Deed
The Fighter fights for reward. There is a payoff of some kind for this individual. He or she is either seeking to attain something (fame, money, etc.), or they seek to prevent these things from being taken from them.
The Soldier fights because it is his job. Certainly, there may indeed be philosophical reasons behind his decision to fight (family, community, country), but the soldier is a minion of the State. He or she has absolutely no choice as to who the “enemy” will be or who they are protecting us from.
The Warrior, on the other hand, fights to restore Peace. He fights because there is no other choice and does so to defend something (philosophy, family, etc.) outside of himself. And, when he fights, it is with an enemy of his own choosing and never for selfish, self-serving reasons.
The warrior, though often called upon to engage in conflict using the same methods as that of mere fighters and soldiers, does so, not for the sake of conflict, but because all else has failed and he must resort to violent conflict to stop it.

The Journey to Health
I was in an auto accident four years ago and sustained a back injury. After being treated unsuccessfully by a chiropractor, he finally decided to get an MRI done on me, and we discovered the cause of my mid back pain. I have had a journey into health the last four years, exploring traditional Western treatments such as medications and procedures such as nerve injections and then after receiving no relief, began to take matters into my own hands. I began walking again, as well as eating healthier meals and was introduced to Qi Quong. Those modalities have helped me to become more active and have less pain.
I worked as a nurse for 35 years, many of them working with spinal cord injured patients, stroke patients as well as head injured patients. In the time of 13 years, I sustained 3 injuries, being out of work for less than a week each time. I was such a stoic, feeling that I was young and could heal quickly. The wear and tear of all those strains and pulls and abuses resulted in an occurrence of mid back pain when I reached my late 40, sometimes immobilizing me with inflamed discs. I have tried a variety of modalities.
